morning prayer

This is just an example. You are encouraged to adapt it, or even make up your own.

Good morning Lord!

Thank you that you go with me into this day. Thank you for the joys it will bring, the challenges it will bring, even the defeats it will bring. I pray that they will all bring me closer to you.

Thank you for all of the people I will meet or whose lives I will affect. Some of them may be good friends and family, some total strangers, some something in between. Some of these people I know about (here you may like to name some of them, or others on your heart) and some I will only find out about as they happen. But I pray that I will be the means of bringing each and every one of them closer to Christ, perhaps just a very little. And I know even that will mean some miracles.

(Here you may find it useful to read a passage from the Bible.)

(Here you may find it useful to refer to your daily prayer list if you keep one, or any other prayer lists you keep or receive.)

Above all, may I be aware that you are there with me, that you go before me, and that, in need, you will clean up after me. Help me to keep that last to a minimum, but you do it well. Starting of course with Jesus, my Lord and Saviour. Hallelujah!
