feedback

Page history last edited by PBworks 17 years, 11 months ago

There are five feedback mechanisms available:

cyberchurchfeedback2@yahoogroups.com

is the normal feedback channel. Anyone can post there, but the messages are seen only by members of the cyberchurch pbwiki community. This email address may change from time to time to deter spammers, so bookmark this page rather than storing the address anywhere.

cyberchurchforum@yahoogroups.com

is an open forum. Anyone can post there, anyone can join the list and receive the messages posted there, or join the group and receive the digest, or browse the message archive and reply to messages there without joining anything. You are even welcome to spam this group as long as you keep within the Yahoo! TOS, and of course to reply to spam there - as we do ourselves. Spammers are people. God loves them too. (But do read this first.)

A third option is, we have a (so far) spam-free public forum for those who prefer. But we don't even post the address here, or in the Yahoo! directory (from one extreme to the other, you might say). So you'll have to ask us for the address (or guess it).

The fourth and very special option is cyberchurchx@yahoogroups.com, which unlike the first three is in the Yahoo! adult area. This means that you can be as explicit as you like without offending the Yahoo! terms of service (TOS). We call it the uninhibited feedback channel. Posts to this group are only seen by the csaug team who answer them, but anybody can post messages.

Or the last option is, you are welcome to email the webservant personally.

Prayer requests are welcome in all of the above feedback channels, but please don't cross-post to more than one of them. We'll see that everyone appropriate gets your request.

Another word on spam

All of the addresses given above are of course spammed from time to time. Your messages are important to us, so we try to keep spam filters to a minimum, and make the email links as simple as we can.

At present we leave any spam consistent with the Yahoo! TOS in the cyberchurchforum public archive, and even invite replies there and give some ourselves. Some of these messages make little sense as the graphics have been removed. Others make interesting reading.

This may change, and so may the Yahoo! group addresses. It's probably best to bookmark this page rather than the Yahoo! groups, or as well as them. Or, join the forum group, at least for special notices, and you'll get sent an invitation to the new group.

As we say above, there's also a less publicised but still public forum for those who'd like to avoid the spam.

On the other hand, if you're interested in other spam messages, have a look at the spamtrap pbwiki, a semi-covert activity of:
